RGBW balloon light: colour and warm white in one head
Red, green, blue and a dedicated 3000 K white channel in the same balloon. One unit covers the warm wash a venue wants and the colour a client asks for, which is why event hire fleets standardise on it.

Colour and warm white in the same diffuser. The white is its own channel, not a mix, so the fixture can light a dinner service and then change colour for the party without a second SKU.

Two balloon sizes
The wattage decides the balloon: 100 cm at 100 W, 130 cm at 200 W. Pick by the throw the space needs, not by the number on the box.
100 W against 200 W
Same control system, same colour engine, different balloon and different output.
| Model | Output | Balloon | White CCT | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 W | 14,000 lm | 100 cm | 3000 K | Terraces, marquees, small gardens, photo sets |
| 200 W | 28,000 lm | 130 cm | 3000 K | Wedding lawns, stage front, larger venues |
Both heads run on AC 100-277 V and 50/60 Hz, and both are rated for 50,000 hours. The white channel is a separate 3000 K string, so warm white is not a mix of red, green and blue pretending to be white.
Colour engine and control
Three colour channels and a white channel, mixed inside a diffuser that spreads the output in every direction. Because the white is its own channel, the head can run as a plain warm light for dinner service and switch to colour for the first dance without the washed out look that RGB only fixtures produce.
Control is a 2.4 GHz remote with a physical button on the housing, and DMX512 is available on the models sold for stage and hire work. Brightness, colour and the speed of the dynamic modes are all adjustable. For a venue that already runs a lighting desk, DMX is the difference between a fixture and a prop.

Where an RGBW balloon earns its price
Four jobs that keep coming back, and the setting that works for each.
- Weddings and private events: colour on the trees or the marquee edge, warm white over the tables. One fixture, two looks, and no second rental.
- Venues with neighbours: a diffused head is quiet and the light does not spill upward. The balloon is the shade, so there is no glare into a window across the road.
- Photo and video sets: 3000 K white as a fill, colour for the background. The large source is soft enough to use close to a face.
- Hire fleets: one SKU covers white and colour bookings, which halves the stock a rental company has to carry.
Ask for the DMX channel map and the remote frequency before the order. A venue that runs 2.4 GHz radio mics and a 2.4 GHz light remote in the same room can have a bad night, and the fix is a different band or a wired console.
Before the order
Three details that separate a fixture a venue keeps from one it resells.
- Control: remote only, or DMX too. The DMX option has to be specified at order, it is not a firmware switch.
- Balloon size against ceiling: a 130 cm balloon needs headroom and looks oversized in a low marquee. Check the inflated diameter, not the packed one.
- Weather: IP54 covers dust and splash. It is not a storm rating, and a balloon left out in high wind is a damaged fixture whatever the IP number says.

Site type, the hours the light has to run and what power is available is enough. The reply is a build, a specification sheet and the option list for each line item.
